Quick weight loss may be a good way to kick
start a weight loss plan, but it’s important to keep
the long term in mind.
The big problem with
quick weight loss diets
and plans is that they tend to be impossible to
maintain, and you tend to put all the weight back
on, usually with interest, as soon as you go back to
your old eating habits. Diets which involve
extremely limited food intake may not do too much
damage over a short period of time, and you may
achieve some quick weight loss which can boost your
confidence and self esteem. But it’s very important
to think about your health, fitness and weight
maintenance throughout your whole life.
Achieving weight loss and
weight maintenance in the long term.
There’s really no such thing as a quick fix when it
comes to weight loss. If you want to be happy,
healthy, and achieve weight loss on a permanent basis
you need to gradually acquire good eating habits, and
incorporate some enjoyable exercise into your
lifestyle. It’s tempting to think that by suffering,
you’re bound to be due some kind of reward, which is
why torturous weight loss plans, exercise plans and
diets tend to be so popular. Unfortunately, by
following these quick fix weight loss plans you’re
likely to do more harm than good, and you’ll probably
end up gaining weight in the longer term. The best way
to lose weight is to take the opposite approach. Find
healthy foods you enjoy eating, and activities you
enjoy doing, and make them a part of your life. Eat a
big variety of foods, and do a variety of different
types of exercise. This way, you won’t get bored,
you’ll enjoy life more, and you’ll be healthy and slim
for good.
